What Is a Unique Impression? Understanding the Basics

A unique impression is defined as one generated by an IP address that has not been recorded within the entire advertising network on the same day.

If a visitor has seen any AADS banner today, that impression will not be counted as unique again until the following day. On pages with multiple ad units, only the first one to load will register a unique impression.

Currently, the average ratio of unique to non-unique impressions is approximately 1:30, although this can vary significantly across different sites. While most impressions tend to be non-unique, this is not a critical issue since all publishers are treated equally.

If your website generates unique impressions daily, you'll receive a share of the advertisers' spending on displaying their ads.

Otherwise, we display affiliate ads on a CPA basis, meaning you only get paid when they bring customers to AADS or its advertisers. This can be more profitable if your traffic is of high quality.
