Understanding and Counting guImpressions (Globally Unique Impressions)

If you are already a client or considering becoming one, you might be interested in understanding what we mean by "globally unique impressions" (guImpressions) фтв "globally unique clicks" (guClicks).

Globally unique impression (guImpressions)

An IP address can generate only one globally unique impression across the entire network within a 24-hour period. This means that if a visitor hasn't seen our ads in the past 24 hours, their impression will be counted as globally unique. After that, the same visitor will not generate another globally unique impression within the same day, regardless of the sites they visit or the ads they view.

If multiple ad units are present on the same page, only the first one to load will receive a globally unique impression.

Due to these factors, our stats will differ from those provided by Google Analytics or other web visitor counting services, and our numbers will generally be lower for the same traffic.

The good news is that we are neither a pay-per-impression nor a pay-per-click network. Your earnings are not based on the absolute number of globally unique impressions but on the share of network-wide globally unique impressions that you generate. Therefore, the absolute numbers aren't as critical.

Globally unique clicks (guClicks)

An IP address can generate only one globally unique click across the network within 24 hours. After generating this unique click, the same visitor won’t produce another one during that day, no matter how many ads they click on or the sites they visit. When calculating guCPC (globally unique cost per click), we consider the cost per globally unique click.
