How to Fix a High Bounce Rate

Understanding High Bounce Rates with AADS Traffic

Why Are Bounce Rates High?

Advertisers sometimes notice extremely high bounce rates for AADS traffic, sometimes reaching up to 99%, compared to 25% to 70% for other networks. Here’s why this happens:

- Different Payment Structure: AADS is not a pay-per-click network. Instead, you pay a fixed daily budget and receive a share of targeted traffic, regardless of whether users click on your ad or not.

- No Click Filtering: Since advertisers don’t pay for clicks, there’s no incentive to filter out invalid clicks. This can lead to a higher bounce rate, but it doesn’t reduce the number of valid clicks you receive.

Analogy: Think of advertising on street banners. Not every passerby will make a purchase, and some may misuse the contact information. Filtering out people on the street is impractical.

Key Points to Remember

- Traffic Quality: High bounce rates should not be a major concern. Instead, focus on measuring conversions in terms of sales or valid clicks per dollar spent.

- Click Management: We do not actively prevent invalid clicks because monitoring visitors would require invasive methods, which we avoid.

- Affordable Traffic: Our model provides a large volume of affordable traffic. High bounce rates are part of the trade-off for this volume.

What Should You Do?

- Focus on Conversions: Assess your ad performance based on actual sales or positive interactions rather than just bounce rates.

- Adjust Your Strategy: If bounce rates are concerning, consider refining your targeting or ad content to attract more relevant traffic.
