# Ad Unit Error: Not Found

You've received an error message indicating that your ad unit code is not found. This error significantly reduces your earnings and needs to be addressed. It means that our bot cannot locate the ad unit at the specified URL.

An ad unit must be present on the exact page you specified in the ad unit settings, as our bot doesn't search through all your site pages to find the ad unit; it checks only the specified page. So, first of all, ensure the ad unit is present at the specified URL.

Before using the ad code on your inner pages or subdirectories, it must be present at the specified location.

||| Important: Earnings at AADS are only generated after an ad unit has been successfully detected by our system.
If an ad unit is not found (for example, due to incorrect installation, caching, blockers, or loading issues), impressions cannot be counted and no revenue can be accrued for that period.
For this reason, we strongly recommend verifying that the ad unit is detected immediately after installation and after any website changes.
